Course Terms and Conditions
Prior to all courses of Instruction all Students are requested to read the following terms and conditions and sign to indicate acceptance.
1. Submission of a course booking by the ‘Client’ is deemed also to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, Retest and Remedial Training Policy and Training Time Policy.
2. The client agrees that the information specified on the booking form entered by the client to be a true and accurate account and amounts to a request for Lloyds Motoring to provide training specified. Lloyds Motoring accepts no liability for errors entered on the Course Booking form once signed by the Client.
3. Prior to acceptance of a course request for processing, the ‘Client’ will be required to submit a non-refundable deposit of £100.00. The Client accepts that this deposit will permit Lloyds Motoring to book a test date on their behalf and cover other administrative costs relating to the provision of the course. Any refund of deposit due to errors by Lloyds Motoring may be at the discretion of Lloyds Motoring. The balance of the course fee must be paid prior to the commencement of the course. Where course costs less than £100.00 full payment is required to confirm the booking, or were agreed in advance a non-refundable booking deposit of £20.00 for Driver CPC courses shall be required. Upon booking a course, the client agrees that a vacancy will be reserved at this point, and failure to attend for a course renders the deposit ‘not refundable’. If Lloyds Motoring cancels the course for any reason a full refund of deposit shall be made.
4. The ‘Client’ accepts that test dates offered cannot be changed without prior agreement once booked with the DVTANI/Lloyds. The Client accepts that Lloyds Motoring hereby offers a Course of Instruction in the Category requested by the Client and all training provided includes Hire of Vehicle, Instructor, Fuel and use of associated course material in order that the Client reaches a standard for test day. The Client accepts that Lloyds Motoring cannot offer a ‘Guaranteed Pass’ and that they will be prepared to a test standard for test day. Retest fees will be applicable should the client not succeed on a 1st attempt.
5. During the course the client will be presented with his/her Student Record Sheet, this will cover various skills/competencies covered during the training course in their chosen Category and the Client will be asked to sign at various points during the course. By signing this course record sheet the Client accepts they are signing to confirm they accept they have been provided with the training stated and have no complaints with the course at that particular point.
6. The Client accepts that on commencement of the test at the Test Centre the course is deemed to be complete. Should a Client not be successful with their test, additional training can be made available upon payment of an Additional Training fee.
7. The Client agrees to take all reasonable steps to inform Lloyds Motoring of any reason why candidates are unable to attend training booked, within 24 hours of the course commencement date/time. If a Client fails to attend for a test, the course is considered to be complete and additional fees will be charged to provide a replacement test day.
8. The Client agrees that they are in possession of the correct provisional licence entitlement before booking onto CAT B, CAT C, CAT C+E, CAT D, D1 or D1+E courses.
9. The Client and his nominated candidate(s) agrees to Lloyds Motoring taking all reasonable steps to verify identities of candidates undergoing courses of instruction. This includes the candidates being in possession of both parts of their driving licence at the start of each training course, including Driver CPC.
10. The Client agrees to settle all Invoices immediately upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in advance. Cheques should be made payable to Lloyds Motoring.
11. Training time for each course Category varies depending on the needs of the client except CAT B+E, CAT C, CAT C+E, CAT D1, CAT D1+E and CAT D whereby the training time set in the Training Time Policy as made available at the time of booking.
12. The Client accepts that course certificates and CPC DSA Uploads will only be completed upon settlement of the invoice relating to each course.
13. The client agrees that he/she will attend for all training arranged by the allocated Instructor at the location and time agreed. Course timings may be varied and the Client accepts they may be asked to attend for training anytime from 0700 – 2100hrs on each day of training. By attending at the time agreed with the Instructor, the client accepts the timing is suitable.
14. Course cancellations within 4 hours of course commencement times will in addition to loss of deposit, attract a 20% surcharge for each candidate who does not attend the start date/time of training. The surcharge shall not be applicable if there is mutual agreement between the Client and Lloyds Motoring to re-schedule the course date/time.
15. Lloyds Motoring will endeavour to provide test dates and times as agreed, however there may be circumstances beyond the control of Lloyds Motoring whereby preferred tests dates may not occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
16. Client complaints about Lloyds Motoring should be addressed to Lloyds Motoring Beechill Business Park, Springboard Business Centre, 96 Beechill Road, BELFAST. BT8 7QN or by phone on 08455280271. Lloyds Motoring shall endeavour to take all reasonable steps to address complaints to the satisfaction of our client.
17. The Client accepts that in circumstances of an Act of God, fire, riot, civil commotion, act of terrorism or other event beyond the control of Lloyds Motoring, may result in the cancellation of a course at short notice. In such circumstances Lloyds Motoring undertakes to provide a replacement course and or test as soon as practicable. A course is deemed to include the ‘test day’.
