Lloyds Motoring PCV Training course is a 5 day course with 4 days of training and pre-test training and test on the 5th day. To obtain your CAT D or D1 licence, first you will need to obtain a Provisional licence.

Step One:

Request a starter pack for CAT D licence from Lloyds Motoring.

Step Two:

Arrange Medical with GP for completion of Medical and DLM1 form. Obtain a basic disclosure certificate from the PSNI. Complete DL1(NI) form. Forward DL1(NI) and DLM1 forms along with 2 passport sized photos and Disclosure certificate to the DVLNI to obtain your provisional licence.

Step Three:

Obtain Theory and Hazard Perception books/DVD from Lloyds Motoring and prepare for your tests whilst awaiting the DVLNI to return your provisional licence.

Step Four:

On Receipt of your Provisional licence with the Provisional PCV category added, book your Theory and Hazard perception tests. (See our section on Theory Tests).

Step Five:

Once you have passed both Theory and Hazard perception tests, contact Lloyds Motoring to book a 5 day training course. Minimum of 3 students for this course. To obtain a full licence to drive there are 4 sections you need to complete

These are :-

  • Module 1 – PCV Theory and Hazard Perception Test(DVANI)
  • Module 2 – PCV CPC Case Studies Test
  • Module 3 – PCV Practical Driving Test
  • Module 4 – PCV CPC Practical Demonstration Test
